It was a chilly but sunny and calm winters morning, perfect conditions for some Citizen Science!
The long haul to the Encounter Marine Park Sponge Gardens Sanctuary Zone off Cuttlefish Bay was easily and enjoyably achieved. Unfortunately no large whale sightings but three delightful observations of groups of Bottlenose dolphins allowed for data collection and recording under our Scientific Research permit.
It was fantastic to have a wonderful assembled crew of old and new faces, celebrating this significant milestone and enjoying the magnificent scenery and experiences our amazing marine environments have to offer.
Special thanks to Danny Male - KI NRM / DEWNR for his ongoing support and funding.
